How Smart is Your Dog?

This question goes out to you dog owners: When was the first time you realized whether your dog had sense enough to get out of the rain if he could? My two dogs are familiar with their backyard. We have a big area of grass and a large deck which is covered. Canines have the brain power to put this together…don’t they?

I am sure I had been clued in before we moved about 2 weeks ago. Our other home had a garage the dogs could go into for cover. But maybe they just liked the garage, and happened to go in there when it was raining. Maybe it was not a conscious choice on their part.

So, the reason I posed the question in the first place is because today I finally concluded my dogs couldn’t put 2 and 2 together. When I came home from being out after it had been raining an hour or so, there they were. Sitting on the grass, wondering why we left them out in the rain.

I do not really mind that Zoey and Rika are not that bright. I would rather them be playful and affectionate, and maybe loyal. Come to think of it, maybe it’s better this way. It makes me kind of uncomfortable to imagine what they could be thinking about, if they could put 2 and 2 together.

From Delegating to Contemplating

As an entrepreneur and multiple business owner I am called upon to divide my attention among many different tasks. In an effort not to become overwhelmed, or the candidate for a triple bypass, I have found the key to making my life (professional & personal) a whole lot more productive and enjoyable.

I delegate. Over the years I have accrued a team of professionals who I can call at a moment’s notice. I find I actually am more financially fluid since I have been delegating, because I can take in more work while remaining confident that it will get done well and on time. And I can concentrate on projects that I am really good at, which are, as it turns out, tasks that I really enjoy.

As an added bonus, all this delegating allows me the luxury of setting aside time to contemplate. I find some of my best ideas emerge after moments of contemplation. I suppose everyone has some form of this kind of relaxed focused attention. And if you don’t, I highly suggest you do.

Don’t Feed Me Reality

Unless you have been living in a cave for the last decade or two and missed the whole quantum physics / string theory wave of discussions going on - you’ll know that it’s no secret that we (as humans) are far more instrumental in the creation of our own “reality” than previously understood. Manifesting is more than just a new-age buzzword - people are starting to put the pieces together that they can attract just what they want - each and every day of their lives.

What and how you think matters. Your mental frame of mind matters.
